Personally, I really liked this labor day retreat, even though it was so short. The one thing that I think I'm always going to remember are the casualties. to become or be a christian, there will be casualties. the one that i can think of at the top of my head is US (or YOU). We have to be able to sacrifice our reputation, our RIGHT to be angry, our right to hold grudges, and whatever rights we think we have. We also belong to God, we actually live for God. Therefore, it's not OUR time, it's God's time. It's not our life that we're living, it's also God's time.

Today is the 5th of August. =) That means for me, school starts in 20 days, which is 2 weeks, 6 days. Woah. Summer went by so fast =/

COLLINSVILLE, Illinois (AP) -- First came the world's largest ketchup bottle.

Now this southern Illinois community is after the record for the world's largest ketchup packet.

Collinsville has partnered with the H.J. Heinz Co. to fill an 8-foot-tall, 4-foot-wide plastic pouch with 1,500 pounds of the tomato goop for a school fundraiser.

"That's a lot of ketchup," said Tracey Parsons, a Heinz spokeswoman.

The company donated 4,000 glass bottles of the condiment for people to buy for $1 and pour into the packet. Proceeds will go to the Collinsville Christian Academy, which was damaged by a fire this week.

 

Hundreds in the city, home to a 170-foot-tall water tower touted as the "World's Largest Catsup Bottle," showed up Saturday to participate in the ketchup filling and other fundraising activities. The feat is being submitted to Guinness World Records.

The giant packet will be sealed and kept in Collinsville, once home to a ketchup factory, for a few days before being taken to the Pittsburgh-based company's headquarters.

AN IMPORTANT NOTE: please KEEP praying for the taliban to release the korean hostages. If the demands are not met, they are to be killed tomorrow on monday at 12 pm sharp.

I was listening to this kid that I thought was so annoying and I realized...that I am so blessed with my parents.

This guy is so annoying but I learned that his mom beats him if he gets a B, C, or worse. His dad passed away when he was little, and his mom beats his stepdad as well as him.  He thought that because his mom was Korean, he thought all parents were like that- that they didn't care how hard he worked, not only the grades he got. My parents are not like that and just care I do my best. He was so shocked when he heard that my parents are not like that. He's suffered so much pain that he talks about his past like it's someone else's.

Please pray for this guy, he really needs it. Physically,SPIRITUALLY, and Emotionally. and be thankful for what kind of parents we have.
